The NEET UG 2021 examination, for admission to UG medical courses in top medical institutions of the country, is scheduled to be held on August 01, 2021. Although authorities postponed the PG examinations 2021 till at least August 31, 2021, there has not been any decision regarding postponement of the UG exams. However, as per latest developments, reports state that the UG examinations may also be postponed. The question of the hour is how registered candidates must utilize the effective time during the lockdown, to prepare for the exam.
The NEET UG 2021 examination on August 01, 2021, is already very late when compared to the conventional schedule of the exam in the previous few years. However, with the exam date known, candidates must aim to effectively utilize the lockdown period wisely in preparing for the exam until it is conducted as per schedule in August 2021.
Revise daily
The most important activity to follow for NEET UG 2021 preparations during the lockdown is daily revisions. The NEET UG 2021 syllabus is already known to candidates and by no means, the syllabus is small. There is always the chance of forgetting already studied subjects if candidates are not in the habit of daily revisions, especially during the lockdown. Candidates must make a revision timetable if necessary and ensure that all studies subjects are revised regularly as per the timetable.
Take mock tests
Online mock tests for exam preparation are extremely desirable, especially when states have gone into lockdown in a bid to control the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic during the second wave this year. While candidates cannot really go out, there is enough resource available online in the form of mock tests, sample papers and other practise materials for the exam. Candidates are advised to solve mock tests regularly and evaluate their self-progress. Another important advantage of taking mock tests is that candidates can remain acquainted with the exam pattern even before appearing in it for the first time.
Clear out confusions
Many times, students tend to leave out important study topics due to lack of time for preparation or inability to grasp core concepts readily. With the exam scheduled to be held at a delayed timeline this year, candidates now have ample time to ensure that their understanding of core concepts for appearing in this year’s exam is clear. Online explanatory materials can be downloaded easily and candidates are also advised to refer to explanatory Youtube videos to clear out the confusion in the understanding of conceptual ideas.
Prepare a daily study time-table
It can be monotonous if candidates are always studying during the lockdown. Candidates must take time to relax and meditate and take a break from studies from time to time. The most effective way to do this is by devising a daily study timetable to follow during the lockdown. Candidates may also set their own milestones to cover revision/preparation of subjects on a daily basis as per the timetable.
