National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to conduct the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2022 examination in May 2022. The exam is expected to be conducted offline if the COVID-19 situation remains stable. The application form for this exam will be released soon, by the agency, along with the information brochure. More than 15 lakh candidates are expected to sit for the exam this year. So, the competition is tough and candidates need to be on their A-game to ace the exam.
Achieving the perfect 720/720 score is not a herculean task, especially if candidates study in the right manner. To help them out, the following are some tips recommended by toppers for NEET 2022 examination –
Biology
#1 Rely on line pick-ups more than short notes
The NCERT Class 10 and 12 Biology textbooks carry tonnes of useful information and details. These have to be registered in the mind to get all questions right in the Biology section. Instead of short notes, candidates must focus on creating line pick-ups which are crucial for NEET 2022. These line pick-ups need to be centered around important terms, symptoms, constituents and phenomena.
#2 Jot down terms and definitions to learn better
In addition to line pick-ups, candidates must jot down the list of important terms and their definitions. The NCERT textbooks are filled with important terms such as assimilation, photoperiodism, malting, apospory, etc. The definition or concept behind such terms is usually asked in the form of an MCQ.
#3 Equally prioritize human and plant physiology
Usually, NEET 2022 students tend to prioritize Human Physiology (Digestion, Excretion, Respiration) instead of plant physiology. However, the question paper equally prioritizes both sections. Hence, candidates focus equally on human and plant physiology chapters.
Chemistry
#4 Make a list of name-reactions and revise regularly
The Organic Chemistry syllabus of NEET 2022 comprises special name-reactions like Balz-Schiemann Reaction, Cannizzaro Reaction, Clemenson Reaction, Finkelstein Reaction, etc. All these reactions directly come in the paper. Either their name or end-product is asked. Hence, it is important to make a list of such reactions and revise them thoroughly.
#5 Prioritise blocks and environmental chemistry with organic chemistry
Chapters like P-Block, S-Block carry crucial information which NEET aspirants tend to neglect. They focus on Organic and Physical Chemistry, neglecting such chapters (included in Inorganic Chemistry) in the bargain. However, at least 4 to 5 questions are expected to come in this year’s paper, particularly from blocks and Environment Chemistry. So, during free time, revise these chapters thoroughly.
Physics
#6 Question-solving in Physics is more effective than theory revision
NEET 2022 Physics syllabus comprises two elements – theory and numerical. To cover both aspects, candidates need to solve as many MCQs as they can. They need to begin with chapter-wise questions, followed by section-based and end their preparation with full-length mock-tests. If a concept or formula is not clear, candidates must revisit the concept in the NCERT textbook. With barely 2-3 months of preparation time, this procedure for Physics will come in handy.
#7 For specific constants, memorize the numerical values
Physics syllabus is full of constants such as the Gravitation Constant, Dielectric Constant, Magnetic Constant, Electron Charge, etc. All these constants have specific values which are needed to solve numericals. So, keep revising these values at specific intervals before the exam to solve the Physics questions with ease.
