JEE Advanced 2021 Preparation

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur is all set to conduct the toughest entrance exam in India i.e., Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2021 on October 03, 2021. Top 2,50,000 JEE Main 2021 candidates will be appearing for the entrance exam across the country. They will get a chance to compete for a seat in one of the prestigious IITs in India. Competition is tough and aspirants will get their preferred Engineering stream ONLY IF they secure a higher rank.

With only 9 days for the JEE Advanced 2021 examination, here are important tips and tricks to revise the vast portion within a short span of time –

Tip #1 Start with the easier subject or concept.

At this crucial juncture, students must revise the subject or concepts which they find comparatively simple. For example, a student finds Chemistry simpler compared to Physics and Mathematics. Hence, he/she should start revising Chemistry and gradually move on to the remaining two subjects. However, the key is to identify the JEE Advanced hot topics and prioritise them over others.

Chemistry: Redox Reactions, Solid State, Solutions & Colligative Properties, Carbonyl Compounds & their derivatives, Chemical Bonding, Periodic table.

Physics: Dimensional Analysis, Thermodynamics, Ray Optics, Rotational Dynamics, Kinetic Theory of Gases, EMI, Current Electricity, Photoelectric Effect, Electrostatics.

Mathematics: Continuity & Differentiability, Probability, Integration, Application of Derivatives, Matrices, Three-Dimensional Geometrical System, Sequences & Series, etc.

Tip #2 Don’t start a new or difficult topic at the last moment.

Students must channelise their time, energy and last-minute preparation towards revising the topics they are confident in. By starting a new topic such as Electrostatics or Integration, a candidate will get confused and stressed. The fear of missing out on a topic is natural but not worth it at the last moment.

Tip #3 Solve one paper every day, in a time-bound and appropriate environment.

The best way to revise the entire JEE Advanced 2021 portion is by solving a mock test every day. 9 days implies 9 mock exams. Imagine the amount of revision that candidates can do by just solving 9 mock tests within 3 hours’ duration. This way, revising difficult topics or tricky formulae will become a piece of cake. In the case of Organic Chemistry which is filled with complex reactions, solving mock exams can help candidates register the product or process reaction in a better manner.

Tip #4 Uncertain or doubtful about some concepts? Fix them!

The last 9 days are all about ensuring that one has a clear understanding of all the useful concepts without having an inch of doubt. If there are minor uncertainties, candidates must make sure to clear them as soon as possible. It can be any mechanism of chemical reaction, a typical and peculiar Physics formula or a Mathematical concept – candidates must not have even a small doubt before the exam.

Last-minute preparation is always stressful and hectic, especially in the case of a tough exam such as JEE Advanced 2021. Under such a stressful atmosphere, candidates must have faith in their preparation and their hard work. All the best!
