Candidates can download CAT 2020 admit card starting from today, October 28, 2020. IIM Indore will be releasing the admit card under the respective logins of the candidates at iimcat.ac.in from 5:00 pm onward. The admit card will have the allotted exam slot and venue details of the exam center for the CAT 2020 exam to be held on November 29, at the national level.

To be able to download the CAT 2020 admit card, candidates need to follow the steps below:

Step 1: Access the official website iimcat.ac.in.

Step 2: Click on the link that says “Registered Candidate Login”.

Step 3: Access the login by entering user id and password.

Step 4: Under the dashboard, the candidates can see the “Admit Card” tab, click the same.

Step 5: Under this tab, candidates can see a button to download the admit card, click on it.

Step 6: On doing so the PDF of the CAT 2020 admit card is generated. Candidates have to download it and take its print to carry on the exam day.

After downloading the admit card, candidates must check all the details on it. In case of any discrepancy which means if the details on the admit card, do not match with the details entered in the application form, candidates have to reach out to the CAT helpline. The helpline can be reached at toll-free number 18002090830 or via email at [email protected] The helpdesk remains active from Monday to Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, excluding the national holidays.

Further, the CAT 2020 admit card also contains a link to locate the allotted exam center on google map. This allows the candidates to get familiar with the exam center location. Students can map out the route to reach the center with help of the google map location.

Also, the CAT admit card will have 2 blank spaces that have to be filled by the candidates. The first is the space for a photograph. This must be pasted well in advance before reaching the exam center. The photo to be pasted must be the same as the one uploaded in the CAT 2020 application form.

Another space that the candidates have to fill in the space for the signature. However, this has to be done on the day of the exam, in presence of the invigilator.

This year the Common Admission Test (CAT) will be held in 3 shifts instead of 2. These shifts are 8:30 AM to 10:30 AM; 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM; and 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM. The candidates can check which slot they have been allotted for taking the exam on their admit card.

Another thing to note is that the CAT admit card will have a reference number. This acts as the guide to a designated seat for the candidate at the exam hall.

There is a dress code that must be followed by the candidates at the exam hall, as prescribed by the IIMs. The candidates will not be allowed to wear clothes with full sleeves and shoes at the center. The candidates must choose to wear light coloured half sleeved top wear, a bottom wears with less or no pockets, and wear slippers / sandals.

This year CAT 2020 will have the usual 3 sections with a total of 100 questions. However, the exam duration has been reduced to 2 hours, from 3 hours. The 3 sections in CAT 2020 exam will be Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Aptitude (QA). The exam will be held as a computer-based test (CBT).
