The Gujarat Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has announced the dates for the Gujarat Common Entrance Test or GUJCET 2022. Students desiring to seek admission to engineering and pharmacy courses have to appear for GUJCET 2022. As per a notification released today, the examination is going to be conducted on April 18, 2022. The GUJCET 2022 examination will take place for A, B, and AB group students of the HSC Science stream of the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board.
About the exam
The examination will comprise four subjects namely Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics. Out of the four subjects in the GUJCET 2022 exam, the question papers for Physics and Chemistry will be combined. Both Physics and Chemistry will comprise 40 questions each. Hence, the entire question paper will have 80 questions for 80 marks. A duration of 120 minutes or 02 hours will be given to solve this paper.
On the other hand, Biology and Mathematics will have different question papers. As such, the OMR sheet will be provided separately for these two papers. Both Biology and Mathematics question papers will comprise 40 question for 40 marks each. To solve each of them, candidates will be given a duration of 60 minutes. The medium of the GUJCET 2022 examination will be Gujarati, Hindi and English.
Exam Timings
The timings of GUJCET 2022 are different depending on the subject(s) that the candidate is appearing for. As shown in the table below, Physics and Chemistry exam will be held together while Mathematics and Biology are going to have different timings. It must be noted that once the examination has commenced, no candidate will be allowed entry to the examination halls.

Hall Tickets
Candidates appearing for GUJCET 2022 must note that the hall tickets are going to be issued 07 days prior to the commencement of exam, i.e. from April 11 onwards. They have to be downloaded online from the official website – gseb.org. Also known as admission card, the hall ticket must be carried to the examination centre, failing which the candidate will be denied entry. After downloading the admit cards, candidates must crosscheck their name, photograph, subject combination, medium, signature, etc. In case of error, they must bring it to the light of the Assistant Secretary of the GUJCET cell.
