Gujarat Board Of secondary Education has yet again changed the exam date of GUJCET 2019. The old date which was April 23, 2019, clashed with the Loksabha election dates in the state of Gujarat. The revised exam daye of GUJCET 2019 is April 26, 2019.
This is the second time that the date has been revised. Initially, the exam was supposed to be held on March 28, 2019. However, as the dates were clashing with the board exam date, the exam was rescheduled and the new date declared was of April 23, 2019.
Now that the Loksabha election dates have been declared, and in the state of Gujarat the election schedule of April 23, 2019, GSEB had to postpone the exam date to April 26, 2019, for the benefit of the students.
The notice that declared the change of the exam date was made available on the website on March 11, 2019.
The registrations for the GUJCET 2019 exam ended on February 08, 2019. All the registered candidates can expect the release of the admit card to appear in the exam in the second week of April 2019. The exam mode is offline and it will be held across 34 test centres across the state of Gujarat.
The GUJCET 2019 admit card will be available in the online mode only and the candidates have to download and carry a print of the admit card at the allotted exam centre. The admit card is the only document using which the candidates can enter their respective exam centres.
GUJCET 2019 is being held for admission in various B.E/B.Tech and pharmacy (degree/diploma) courses in the institutes of the Gujarat state. The number of candidates appearing for GUJCET has been increasing gradually and is reported to be around 1.35 lakh.
In the GUCET 2019 offline exam, the candidates will be tested based on their knowledge of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Mathematics of 10+2 level. The exam will be of 1 hour and 10 minutes duration and there will be a total of 120 questions. the exam timing is 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM.
Each section i.e. Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology will have 40 questions each. There is 1 mark allotted to each question and for every wrong answer, 0.25 marks are deducted.
