To be considered for the Gujarat State Eligibility Test for Assistant Professor, a candidate must have taken both papers and received at least 40% aggregate marks in both papers for the unreserved category. For all applicants from the reserved categories, at least 35% of aggregate marks in both examinations are required.

Every year, the GSET exam cutoffs change owing to a variety of circumstances. The cut-off marks or percentages for this year are derived from past year’s trends. Candidates who pass the GSET exam and meet the cut-off will receive a certificate. Gujarat University will choose the candidates for assistant professor and lecturer positions.
