Andhra Pradesh Grama / Ward Sachivalayam is conducting recruitment to the post of 11158 Engineering Assistant (Grade – III) with an age group of 18 to 42 years. Application forms for the Engineering Assistant post is available at website of gramasachivalayam.ap.gov.in and will remain so until – August 10, 2019.
To apply for the post, first of all he / she should be a resident of Andhra Pradesh. They must possess a Diploma in Civil / Mechanical engineering awarded by the State Board of Technical Education and Training AP or must hold a Bachelor degree in Civil or Mechanical engineering of university incorporated under Central or state act. He or she should have sound health, active habits and free from any bodily defect or infirmity.
The first step towards applying is to register by OTPR. Then one has to login with the OTPR ID and password which they will receive via SMS and in their email address. Fill up the form carefully, check it twice / thrice and then submit the form. Applicants must compulsorily upload his/her photo and signature scanned in jpg format not exceeding 50 kb. Incomplete / incorrect application form will get rejected.
The application processing fee is Rs 200 and the examination fee is Rs 200. However, the categories under SC / ST / BC / PH / Ex-servicemen are not required to pay the examination fee. Fee payments needs to be done by net banking / credit card / debit card. Offline methods such as IPOs and demand drafts shall not be accepted.
A written OMR based exam will be held to get selected for the AP Grama Engineering Assistant post. A candidate can choose a district as per their preference for appearing in the OMR based written exam. They will be given 3 options to select their choice of district. The candidates will be allotted in 1st or 2nd choice of district at the best by the department. There will be two papers out of 150 marks : Paper I (General studies and mental ability), Paper II ( Civil / Mechanical Engineering Diploma standard) . The exam for the same is scheduled to be conducted in – September 01, 2019.
After the exam, an answer key will be published in the official website. Any objections regarding the key shall be filed within 3 days post-publication of the key. The Expert Committee will look after the objections and a revised key will be generated. In the event of any objection raised incorrect by the Committee, it will be reckoned for adding marks for all the candidates.
In case if two or more candidate get equal or same number of marks in the written exam, those candidates will be bracketed. The same bracket candidates shall be ranked according to their age (oldest will be considered for admission). If a tie is still observed in age, the person who possesses educational qualification at earlier date will be taken into evaluation for breaking the tie.
