The Goa Shipyard Limited has released the notification regarding recruitment for the post of consultants. The company published the application form for the aforementioned post on the official website – goashipyard.in on March 15, 2022. As per the latest notification, a total of 7 vacancies are available across three departments for the post of Consultant SR and Consultant GES.
One each for the post of Consultant SR (Electrical) and Consultant SR (Electronics/Communication & Navigation & control) while two vacancies are open for the post of Consultant SR (Mechanical). There are two vacancies for Consultant GES (Mechanical) and one for Consultant GES (Electrical).
Interested candidates can apply by sending in a physical copy of the application form along with relevant supporting documents addressed to The Chief General Manager (HR&A), GSL. The company will receive the applications for these posts up until March 31, 2022.

Recruitment and age requirements
The recruitment is being done on a contractual basis for the period of one year, with an option of extension for another year. The performance of the candidate during the tenure and the future requirement of the company will dictate the further extension of the initial contract offered. The extension may be offered until the candidates reach 65 years of age.
The common eligibility requirement of candidates for all posts is that they be an Indian national aged not more than 63 years as of February 28, 2022. The aspiring candidates may want to take note of the eligibility criteria for the specific posts.

Consultant SR – Electrical, Electronics/Communication & Navigation & control, Mechanical
- The candidates are required to hold Diploma in the respective field they wish to apply for from any institute recognised by AICTE.
- Additionally a minimum of ten years of experience in Operation and maintenance of Marine Electronic equipment is also required.

Consultant GES – Mechanical, Electrical
- The candidates are required to hold a diploma of engineering in the field they wish to apply from any institute recognised by AICTE.
- They are also required to have a minimum of 10 years experience in the navy as the Chief ERA or the equivalent experience in any other PSUs or similar services. Additionally practical experience in repairs and maintenance of main engine, gear box, Water jets, OBMs, Air Conditioning Plants, DGs and other systems fitted in boats up to 20m Length is required.
