Advertisement Number 2 of 2021, available on the official website invites qualified candidates to apply for a variety of posts including Veterinary Officer & Lecturer among others. 44 vacancies are available in total. Under the Directorate of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Sciences, there are 32 job openings available for the post of Veterinary Officer. 02 vacancies are available for the post of Lecturer in Goa Medical College in the specialities of Surgery & Orthopedic Surgery. One vacancy is available for Director of Museum post under the Directorate of Museum. This vacancy is to be filled up through Transfer on Deputation basis. In addition, 03 vacancies are available for the post of State Tax Officer under the Office of the Commissioner of Commercial Taxed. A single vacancy is also available for the post of Technical Officer in Administrative Reforms Department under Goa Secretariat. Two openings for Lecturer in Periodontology/ Oral Pathology & Microbiology under Goa Dental College & Hospital and 03 openings for the post of Associate Professor in Architecture are also available.
Applicants must check out the eligibility criteria separately specified for different posts. These must be fulfiled before applying for the recruitment. For instance, for the post of Veterinary Officer, candidates with a relevant Veterinary qualification and registration with the Goa Veterinary Council are eligible to apply. Similarly, for the post of Lecturer, applicants must have a recognized Medical qualification, a PG qualification in the concerned Specialty and at least three years of teaching experience can apply. The upper age limit for Vet Officer and Lecturer posts is 45 years and knowledge of Konkani is required.
For the post of Director of Museum (to be filled up by Transfer on Deputation basis), candidates holding an analogous post with at least 5 years of regular service can apply. Furthermore, they must also have the specified minimum educational qualifications. Similarly, candidates with a Graduate degree and Associate Membership of ICA/3 years of relevant experience are eligible to apply for State Tax Officer post. Knowledge of Konkani is required to apply for all the posts and the upper age limit is 45 years.
