Public Service Commission, Goa is inviting applications from eligible candidates to fill up vacancies in Goa Medical College and Directorate of Prosecution. Goa PSC has published an official recruitment notification in this regard at the official website i.e. gpsc.goa.gov.in. The vacancies are for the posts of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Public Prosecutor. Online applications for recruitment to the aforementioned vacant positions can be submitted through the official website only. The last date of submission of online applications is August 28, 2020. As per the published recruitment notification, 26 vacancies have been advertised in all. Under the Goa Medical College, one vacancy each is available for the posts of Associate Professor in Nephrology, Assistant Professor in Nephrology, and Assistant Professor in Neurosurgery. On the other hand, under the Directorate of Prosecution, there are 23 vacancies available for the post of Assistant Public Prosecutor. In case a suitable number of candidates are not available who have the knowledge of Konkani, the Commission can recommend other candidates. However, the minimum eligibility conditions are specified against each advertised post.
In order to apply for the post of Associate Professor in Nephrology, candidates must have a recognized medical qualification along with Post Graduate degree in the concerned super-speciality. Candidates need four years or more of teaching/research experience in a recognized medical college/teaching institute. However, those who have DM or M.Ch. degree, can apply even with 03 years of experience. Knowledge of Konkani is a must. For the post of Assistant Professor in Nephrology, candidates must have a recognized medical qualification along with a Post Graduate degree in concerned super-speciality. Alongside, candidates also need 01 years or more of teaching/research experience in a medical college/teaching institute. Knowledge of Konkani is important to apply for recruitment. For the post of Assistant Professor in Neurosurgery, candidates must have a recognized medical qualification along with a Post Graduate degree in the concerned super-speciality. 01 year or more of teaching/research experience is required to apply for the post. The maximum permissible age for the above-mentioned posts is 45 years.
Candidates willing to apply for the post of Assistant Public Prosecutor must have a degree in law. In addition, such applicants must have practiced the profession of Advocate for a minimum period of 02 year. The knowledge of the Konkani language is essential to apply for the post. Candidates must be within the maximum age limit of 45 years in order to apply for the post.
