General Medical College and Associated Hospitals, Jammu is inviting applications to fill up 59 contractual vacancies for Nurse and other paramedical posts. There are 03 vacancies available for the post of EEG Technician and 06 vacancies available for the post of X-Ray Technician. Similarly, 05 vacancies are available for Anesthesia Asstt., 03 for Jr. Sterilization Tech., 01 for Dialysis Tech., 02 for Jr. Theatre Asstt. and 01 for Theatre Asstt. In addition, 05 vacancies are also available for Gas Mistry, 05 for Lab Tech., 06 for Pharmacist and 03 for Occupational Therapist. The initial period of employment is for 1 year. The subsequent extension of the employment term is subject to the satisfactory performance of the incumbent in the designated post and approval from the MoHFW. Applicants must, however, ensure that they fulfil the minimum eligibility conditions before applying for the recruitment. Only those candidates who are permanent residents of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir are eligible to apply for this recruitment.
In terms of the educational qualifications, Class 12th pass candidates with relevant Degree/Diploma/Certificate are eligible to apply for the posts of EEG Technician, Anesthesia Asstt., Jr. Sterilization Tech., Dialysis Tech., Jr. Theatre Asstt., Pharmacist and Sr. Staff Nurse. Candidates having a B.Sc. degree in X-Ray Technology are eligible to apply for X-Ray Tech. post. Similarly, for the post of Theatre Assistant, B.Sc in Operation Theatre Technology is essential. Candidates who have passed Class 10th exam with relevant ITI trade certificate are eligible to apply for the post of Gas Mistry.
