Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GSBSHSE) activated the link to check HSSC result 2021 on its official website i.e. gbshse.gov.in today. However, the result itself has not been declared. The availability of the link, compounded with various news reports claiming that results are out, led to a lot of confusion among students. Clearing the air, state Education Chairman Bhagirath Shetye has announced the date and time for 12th class results.
It is hereby notified that Goa board HSSC result 2021 will be declared tomorrow, on July 19, 2021, at 5 PM.
How the story unfolded
GSBSHSE activated a link on the official website for HSSC results 2021, at around 11 am today. Once the link was released, a lot of students rushed to check their results. However, the result did not show up after filling the result checking form. This created a lot of panic and confusion amongst the students. Shortly thereafter, several newspapers published reports that result is out. Evidently, this led to more students rushing to the website to check their results. However, no one could, and that led to panic. Reacting to the chaos, the a statement was released to the press by Bhagirath Shetye, state education chairman, about the exact date and time of result.
Also, once fake news started circulating online, the Chairman of GSBHSE also came forward and issued a clarification.
Earlier, the Goa Board Class 12th exam scheduled from April 26 to May 15 were canceled by the board.
It may be noted that the Goa board did a similar thing at the time of its SSC results. That is, even though the exam result was announced on July 12, 2021, at 5 PM, however, the board had added the result checking link on the website early in the morning. Past records show that GSBSHSE is known to declare the result only when they put a notice on the official website.
Once the result is announced, the students who wish to check their results have to simply visit the official website of the Goa Board. Then, they have to click on the relevant link to check result. Then, enter their seat number, school index number, birth date, student’s first name, and captcha code. In the end, the candidate has to click on submit button and the result can be checked on the next page.
Last year, around 17,183 appeared for the Intermediate examination. Out of the total students, 89.27% of students passed the class 10+2 exams.
The SSC result of the Goa Board has already been announced on July 12, and the overall pass percentage in the same was 99.72%. A total of 23,967 students had participated in the class 10th exam. Out of all the candidates who have registered 23,900 students had passed the class 10th exams.
