The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur has successfully completed two days of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2022. There are two more days left for the examination which will be held on February 12and 13, 2022. As per the important dates released on the official website – gate.iitkgp.ac.in, the response sheets of the candidates will be announced on February 15, 2022 while the official answer keys will be published on February 21, 2022.
How to check?
Once the answer keys are made available, candidates can submit challenges by paying Rs 500 for each question. The timeline given for submitting challenges is from February 22 to 25, 2022. To download the GATE 2022 response sheet, here are the steps that one can follow.
Step 1- Go to the official website of GATE 2022 at gate.iitkgp.ac.in
Step 2- Under the ‘Important Announcements’ category, click on the tab for response sheet
Step 3- A new page will open where one has to enter their enrollment ID or email address
Step 4- After that, they have to enter their password and then click on the ‘Submit’ button
Step 5- This will open the candidate’s profile
Step 6- Click on ‘View Response’ to check the response sheets.
Previously, the official answer keys were released along with the question papers. This time too, the same trend is likely to be followed. Both the response sheet and answer key of GATE 2022 will be released on the application portal of the official website. Once the objections and representations against the answer keys are submitted, the concerned authority will evaluate the papers and finalize the GATE 2022 scores. The candidates who will qualify for the exam are going to be issued with the scorecards on their respective GATE 2022 login accounts.
GATE 2022 Score
After the evaluation of the answers, the candidate’s actual marks will be considered for formulation of the final scores. However, for papers or subjects whose exams were held over multiple sessions, the raw marks will be converted to normalized marks. In other words, the raw marks for single session papers and normalized marks for multi-session papers are going to be used for computing the GATE 2022 scores.
The results for GATE 2022 will be announced on March 17, 2022. Candidates will be available to download the scorecards up to March 21, 2022. It must be noted that the score will hold validity up to three years from the date of announcement of the results.
