The first shift of today’s Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2022 exam has got over. As per the schedule, Bio-medical Engineering (BM) paper started at 9:00 AM and got finished at 12:00 Noon. GATE 2022 Bio-medical Engineering exam was held in the computer-based test (CBT) mode. Every paper of the exam is following an objective-type pattern. Now, as the exam is over, candidates must be looking for the answer key and analysis, we are going to share the same in this article.
Where to check?
Since the official answer keys will be released after some time by the organizing institute IIT Kharagpur, candidates have to make use of the unofficial answer keys that are available. These answer keys are mostly hosted by educators and subject experts on platforms like YouTube. To know how to access it, glance through the steps given below.
Step 1- Go to YouTube at youtube.com
Step 2- Type ‘GATE 2022 Biomedical Engineering answer key 5th Feb’ on the search box
Step 3- A list of videos will appear
Step 4- Check the answer keys and then calculate a tentative score.

Exam Pattern
In GATE 2022, the overall pattern of the test papers is objective-type. The pattern of questions is based on Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), Multiple Select Questions (MSQs) and Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. The total time given to the candidates is 03 hours.
The questions in the GATE 2022 BM paper are designed to test the candidate’s recall, comprehension, application, analysis and synthesis skills. Candidates had to answer a total of 65 questions. The total number of questions were again divided into 10 questions from General Aptitude (GA) and 55 questions from Computer Science (CS). Coming to the marks distribution, GA covered 15 marks, Engineering Mathematics for 13 marks and 72 marks for Computer Science. As such, the total marks of the question paper was 100.
There will be negative marking in the GATE 2022 exam. For every 01 mark MCQ, 1/3 marks will be deducted. Similarly, for every 02 mark MCQ, 2/3 marks from the question will be deducted.
