IIT Madras is releasing the GATE 2019 Admit Card / Hall Ticket on January 04, 2019, tomorrow. GATE 2019 exam is being conducted on February 02, 03, 2019 and on February 09, 10, 2019. The admit card will be available at GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) Portal,
The admit card of GATE 2019 will have the allotted exam center details from where the candidates will be appearing for the GATE 2019 online exam. Apart from the exam center details the admit card will also important exam instructions, GATE paper name, name, registration number, date, time and candidate’s photo, and signature.
How To Download The GATE 2019 Admit Card?
Enter the GATE 2019 enrollment id/email id and the password in the GOAPS portal as shown in the image above. Click on the submit button the admit card will be available on the next screen. You have to save the same in your system and take 2-3 printouts of the same.
There are 9 zonal centers that are hosting the GATE 2019 exam centers. These zonal centers are as per the GATE 2019 Zonal Offices that are – IISc Bangalore, Bengaluru; IIT Bombay, Powai, Mumbai; IIT Delhi,
Carry A Valid Photo ID Proof Along With The GATE 2019 Admit Card
Apart from the hard copy of the GATE 2019 Admit Card, candidates will have to carry other important documents to the exam centers. The admit card is the primary document to enter the exam hall, however, to verify the identity of the candidates they have to carry a valid photo ID proof.
The photo ID proof must be an original copy. Photocopy or scanned copies of the ID will not be accepted. A valid photo ID proof can be any one of these – Passport, Pan card, Voter Id, Aadhaar card, College Id, Employee Id, or Driving License.
The PWD candidates have to also carry PWD certificate to validate their PWD claim.
Candidates are often confused on either a black & White or a coloured print out is to be taken at the centers. The authorities do not put any compulsion on this. However, the main concern is whatever is the print, the candidate’s image, signature and the barcode in the admit card must be clear. Thus, a coloured print out is preferred as the clarity is better.
However, it is up to the candidate on what print out they want to carry at the exam center, as long as it is clear and clean.
Earlier the authorities have also released the GATE 2019 Exam schedule. According to this schedule, the GATE 2019 exam will be held in 4 days and in 8 sessions.
Note that, out of all the 24 papers, 2 papers will be held in multi-session: Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering. All other papers will be held in single session.
GATE 2019 exam will be held in online mode and as per the schedule above. The allotted exam date and time will be mentioned in the admit card of the candidates. Also, the allotted exam center details will be printed on the admit card. GOAPS is the only portal to download the GATE 2019 Admit Card, no candidates will get their admit
