Forest Research Institute, Dehradun has announced the recruitment process for the post of Junior Consultant. An official notification in this regard with Notification N. F.9-25/89-U.3 is available on the official website, fridu.edu.in. FRI has announced 01 vacancies for the Junior Consultant in Wood Science & Technology. The conducting body is inviting the applications for the aforementioned posts on or before September 11, 2020.
An online interview will be held on September 18, 2020, from 10:00 AM. Eligible candidates will be conveyed the information about the interview accordingly. Shortlisted aspirants will be provided with a link by September 16, 2020, by Registrar, FRI Deemed to be University, Dehradun. They have to use this link to appear before the selection committee for the interview.
Before the commencement of the interview, call letters to attend the interview will be sent to eligible candidates through Speed Post or Registered Post or Courier Service. Information about the final selection will be intimated to candidates accordingly on the FRI website. The duration for the engagement of Junior Consultant posts is up to the period of one academic session. This period may get extended on the recommendations for a maximum period of 02 academic sessions. During this period, they receive a monthly salary of Rs. 50,000/-.
Before applying for the announced posts, aspirants must ensure that they satisfy the prescribed eligibility criteria. Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Wood Science & Technology with a minimum of 55 % marks. Besides, they must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC/CSIR/ICAR in the discipline/ related discipline. Those who have PhD degree are exempted from the NET qualifying educational qualification. For Junior Consultant, the upper age should not exceed that of 40 years as on the date of interview. Moreover, candidates should have a significant contribution in Teaching/ Research and must be capable to teach papers at the Master’s level.
