Employee State Insurance Company (ESIC) has today, December 15, 2021, released a recruitment notification on the official website esic.nic.in. This notification aims at conducting a recruitment drive for the post of Insurance Medical Officer (IMO) Grade-II. This post covers a total of 1120 vacancies, divided into various categories. So, to fill-up these vacancies, ESIC is conducting this recruitment drive. Online applications have been invited for all interested and eligible candidates.
Under the ESIC Recruitment Drive 2021, a total of 1120 candidates will be inducted for the post of IMO Grade-II. Out of the total vacancies, 459 are dedicated to the unreserved or general category. Similarly, 158 have been allotted to SC, 88 to ST, 303 to OBC, 112 to EWS, and 90 vacancies to the PwD category. In the last category, 34 have been provided to Category C and 56 have been allotted to Category D and E.
According to the ESIC Recruitment 2021 notification, selected candidates will offer a pay-scale of the Level-10 pay matrix. This pay will range between Rs.56,100 and Rs. 1,77,500. Additional, several other perks and privileges such as DA, NPA, HRA, and transport allowance will also be provided. However, in the case of allowance, certain restrictions will also be imposed. Details regarding that aspect will be disclosed later.
In addition to pay-scale, the ESIC Recruitment 2021 notification has also specified the age restrictions. Accordingly, applicants must not exceed the age of 35 years However, a relaxation of 5 years will be provided for ESIC employees as well as government servants. Moreover, these relaxations will also be provided to SC, ST, OBC, PwD, Ex-Servicemen, and other categories, as prescribed by the Indian government.
Additionally, certain educational qualifications have also been specified in the ESIC Recruitment 2021 notification. It states that the candidate must possess an MBBS degree issued by a competent authority as per the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd (part II) of the Indian Medical Council (IMC), Act.
A second criterion states that the candidate needs to complete a mandatory rotating internship. In case they haven’t done so, such candidates need to pursue an internship later, having qualified for the written examination. Only then will be allowed to apply for the ESIC Recruitment Drive 2021.
The ESIC Recruitment 2021 official notification still contains limited information. Detailed information about the selection process has been uploaded on the official website esic.nic.in. Eligible candidates thereafter, need to apply for the vacancy on or before December 31, 2021.
