Amidst growing confusion among students, it is confirmed now that DU SOL result 2019 has been announced. However it may be noted that the results of the following students only are available at the moment – B.Com part 3, BA (Hons), B.Com (H) as per the official website.
At this moment, the official website sol.du.ac.in is working, and only three links are flashing on the official website. A screenshot is shown below. The third link says “Marksheet/Results (B.Com. part-III, B.A.(Hons), B.Com.(H))”. This link is opening the web page sol.du.ac.in/marksheet/, which is also working right now.

As can be seen in the screenshot below, to check result, one has to enter SOL roll number, exam roll number, year of exam, course, and part. In the course field, the following options are coming – B.A. (Programme), B.Com. (Hons.), B.Com., B.A. (Hons.) English, B.A. (Hons.) Political Science – Old Course, B.A. (Hons.) Political Science.

BA Programme result is announced as per the marksheet page. However as per the main page, only B.Com part 3, BA (Hons), B.Com (H) are available. Programme students are thus requested to login and check if their results are available or not, as the status is confusing.
This news is being published at midnight, and at this moment, the website sol.du.ac.in is working. Whether it will be working by morning or not cannot be confirmed because last night also the site started working when there was less traffic on the website (high traffic in the morning is because all the UG students are trying to check result at once).
Reports of SOL results announced had started surfacing 48 hours ago. Some reports said that programme results are available, others said Hons. Students and everyone else tried their best to confirm the reports but all failed as the website sol.du.ac.in had crashed.
In the morning, several students had called the DU SOL officials and were told that it was a technical issue and they were trying to resolve it. But no one could confirm exactly which results were announced.
Here it is important to point out that there were conflicting reports initially – some said that results are out, and others said not. However result is actually announced, that is confirmed. The only problem right now is that the site is crashing again and again so students are not able to check their results.
The reason why many students felt that results are not available was also because last year B.Com result was announced on October 11, and BA result was published on October 29. So students were mostly expecting result a little later. However, as per reports, DU SOL had already said that they will declare results earlier this year.
DU To Re-Introduce Semester System In SOL and NCWEB
In August, there was an emergency meeting of the executive council of DU. It was proposed in that meeting that the university should re-introduce semester system in School of Open Learning (SOL) and Non Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB).
The semester system last existed in these places twelve years ago. DU itself had again adopted the semester system for CBCS courses in the year 2015. But at that time it was decided not to do it in SOL because this was not regular programme. The change in system now will bring the open learning students at par with the regular students.
