School of Open Learning, Delhi University has announced the result of BA programme part 1. Now the available DU SOL results 2019 are BA first year, third year; B.Com first year, second year, third year; BA Hons Pol Sc, BA H English, and B.Com Honors.
As the wait of first year students get over, second year BA students have to wait a little longer. The result of BA second year 2019 is going to be announced soon. All DU SOL results are announced by end of October or first week of November.
Last year, DU SOL announced BA second year result on November 2.
To check the result announced, students need to visit sol.du.ac.in. There they have to click “Marksheet/Results (B.A. Prog Part-I,III, B.Com. Part-I,II,III, B.A.(H)Pol.Sc., B.A.(H)Eng., B.Com.(H))”, which leads to a login page to check marksheet and result.
Students can check their results by logging in with SOL roll number, exam roll number, year of exam, course, and part. This opens the statement of marks, containing paper code, paper name, theory marks, theory max marks, paper result. Besides, student details such as name, father’s name, college name are also indicated.
A few of the abbreviations used in DU SOL results include RL – result will be declared later, ER – essential repeat, IMP – improvement, TH – theory, PR – practical, IA – internal assessment, P – passed in paper, A – absent, F – failed in paper, F-TH – failed in theory, F-PR – failed in practical, * – already passed.
The passing criteria of a paper is 40% in theory, 40% in practical.
Students should immediately contact SOL, DU if they find any discrepancy in the result of marks in theory and passing criteria within one month of declaration of result, or as per date mentioned in marksheet.
DU SOL was in the news lately, also for results announcement. However, the focus of most of the news stories and student attention was the fact that students were unable to check their results when the website kept crashing. In the beginning of this month, DU SOL BA CBCS, B.Com, BA Hons, B.Com Hons results. That was when a large number of students, all enrolled in the said courses, tried to check their results but were repeatedly unable to do so. The saga continued for a few days until finally either the authorities made some changes technically, or the traffic died down by itself and got the site back up running.
