DU Entrance Test by NTA to be held from 30 June to 6 July; Last Date to Apply 14 June

Finally, the much awaited notification for Delhi University Entrance Test (DUET)-2019 has been released. It was confirmed last month that the National Testing Agency (NTA) will be holding the exam on behalf of DU and now the official advertisement for this has also been released. The exam will be called DUET and will be for the admission of candidates in UG, PG, M.Phil., and Ph.D courses.

The DU entrance exam will be held from June 30 to July 6, 2019. It will be conducted all over India, in 18 cities which includes Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi (NCR), Guwahati, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jammu, Kolkata, Mumbai, Nagpur, Patna, Ranchi, Trivandrum, and Varanasi.

Candidates who wish to apply for the entrance test need to register for the examination. NTA will not open any separate registration for the examination. Instead, the candidates need to apply form the official DU registration portal. To do so, go to du.ac.in and click on the registration link. The candidate will first have to register by entering basic detail like name, e-mail id, phone number, etc. Next, the candidates need to submit details in the application form of DU, along with the required images.

The final step of registration is fee payment. To do so, the candidates need to pay Rs. 750 for UG entrance exam, Rs. 500 for PG entrance exam, and Rs. 500 for M.Phil / Ph.D entrance examination. The amount of fee for candidates belonging to SC / ST / PwD category is Rs. 300 for DUET UG and Rs. 250 for PG and M.Phil / Ph.D. The candidates can submit the amount of application fee online, via net banking, debit card, and credit card.

Once the registration ends, NTA will host admit card of DUET 2019 on the official website, on du.ac.in. It will be released for all the candidates who will submit application form and fee correctly. The syllabus of all the courses will also be uploaded on the website of Delhi University or respective Department website.

On the exam day, the candidates will have to carry certain documents, which are – DUET admit card, one passport size photograph, one valid id proof, PwD certificate (if applicable). The photograph to be carried should be the same as that uploaded in the application form of DU 2019. A valid id card can be aadhaar card, passport, ration card, passport, etc. If the name of the candidates been changed due to marriage or any other reason then they need to carry a document of proof as well.
