District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) Chatra, Jharkhand has issued an official recruitment notice to fill up 76 vacant positions under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) in 2020. The official recruitment notice is available at the website chatra.nic.in. Eligible candidates are invited to apply for recruitment to advertised posts that include Block Programming Officer, Technical Assistant, and others. The online application process is commencing on July 20, 2020. The last date of submission of online applications is July 30, 2020, through the aforementioned website. In addition, the last date of receipt of the hard copy of the submitted online application form along with copies of supporting documents is August 06, 2020.
As per the detailed recruitment notification, the 76 advertised vacancies are bifurcated across various posts. There are 03 vacancies for the post of Block Programming Officer. 09 vacancies are available for the post of Technical Assistant (Equivalent to Assistant Engineer) and 12 vacancies are available for the post of Technical Assistant (Equivalent to the post of Junior Engineer). 07 vacancies are available for the post of Accountant Assistant while 08 vacancies are available for the post of Gram Rojgar Sewak. Furthermore, these vacancies are also bifurcated category-wise for each available post. Post selection, eligible candidates are to be appointed at the aforementioned posts for an initial period of 01 years. During their tenure, such candidates are entitled to monthly fixed remuneration as indicated in the official notice. For the post of BPO, candidates are entitled to receive Rs 19500. Technical Assistant (Equivalent of Assistant Engineer) & Technical Assistant (Equivalent to Junior Engineer) are entitled to monthly remuneration of Rs 19234 & Rs 17520 respectively. Accountant Assistant & Computer Assistant post holders are entitled to receive Rs 10000 while Gram Rojgar Sewaks are entitled to Rs 7500.
Candidates must however be at least 18 years old as on 01.01.2020 in order to apply. The maximum specified age limit for each post can be checked from the official advertisement. They must also have the necessary minimum educational qualification as prescribed against each post. Any graduate with 55% marks is eligible to apply for the post of BPO. On the other hand, Civil Engineering graduates & Diploma holders are eligible to apply for the posts of Technical Assistant (Equivalent to Assistant Engineer) & Technical Assistant (Equivalent to the post of Junior Engineer) respectively. Commerce graduates (Hons) with minimum 55% marks are eligible to apply for the post of Accountant Assistant while candidates having a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science (Hons/Gen)/BCA/ Graduate with PGDCA are eligible to apply for the post of Computer Assistant. Candidates who have passed Intermediate/Matric with ITI certificate in any trade are eligible to apply for the post of Gram Rojgar Sewak. Candidates must be a domicile of the Chatra district.

In addition, candidates are also required to generate a print out of the filled up application form and send it to the provided address along with enclosures of copies of supporting documents.
