Directorate of Research and Medical Education, Punjab is looking for eligible candidates for the post of Senior Resident in Adhoc basis. The official notification in this regard is published recently on the official website, punjabmedicaleducation.org. As per the notification, the conducting body has released a total of 178 vacancies for the said posts. The last date to submit the applications is September 25, 2020 by 05:00 PM.
Out of the total 178 vacancies, 80 are announced for Senior Resident in Government Medical College, Amritsar and 98 for Senior Resident in Government Medical College, Patiala. The recruitment is announced for the following speciality – Anaesthesia, Medicine, Microbiology, Chest and TB, Pediatrics, Radiology, Forensic Medicine, Any others clinical speciality. The recruitment for the Senior Resident post under the following specialities in on Adhoc basis. Candidates are recruited under these posts for a period of 01 years. The newly recruited Senior Resident gets a monthly salary of Rs. 65000/-.
Before applicants start the application procedure, they must go through the eligibility criteria. Candidates who have an MBBS degree/ MD/ MS qualification are eligible to apply for Senior Resident post. They must have completed their probation period in case they are working as PCMS doctors in Punjab. Moreover, candidates who are applying for the said posts have to ensure that they satisfy the age limit as specified in the notification. To apply, the applicant’s age must not exceed that of 40 years.
Due to COVID-19, the conducting body is accepting applications through an offline process only. Applicants have to visit the official website, punjabmedicaleducation.org, to download the Senior Resident application form. The duly filled applications should be sent to the office of Director, Research and Medical Educational, Punjab as per schedule. In the application form, candidates have to provide details such as the choice of speciality, choice of station, category, whether the candidate has ever done Senior Residency. Details about their essentials qualification such as date of joining of service, whether cleared probation, details of MBBS marks, number of attempted in MD/ MS, subject of MD/ MS and others.
Along with the application form, applicants have to submit 10th certificate as the date of birth proof, MBBS mark sheets, 2nd prof MD/ MS marks, copy of MBBS degree, copy of MD/ MS degree, attempt certificate of MBBS and MD/ MS, details of DM/ MCh marks. In addition, they also have to submit a service certificate, SC/ BC or Handicap category certificate and any other document. Applications received after the last date are not accepted by the official body.
