Many reports recently suggested that the Directorate General of Mines Safety (DGMS) has released the Manager’s Competency Examination (CBT) 2021 notification on the official website dgms.gov.in. While these reports were floating around, candidates failed to find any such notification on the official portal. According to some news reports, the computer-based test is scheduled for December 12-16, 2021. These reports also claim that the DGMS Manager’s Competency Examination 2021 registration process will take place from August 10 to September 10, 2021. However, two days have passed and the notification is yet to be released by the authorities.
Earlier this year, DGMS authorities had conducted the computer-based examination from February 19 to 23, 2021. The exam was conducted for awarding First Class and Second Class Manager certificates to shortlisted students. Candidates who failed to clear the exam have been given another opportunity.
As per reports, the exam is scheduled for second week of December 2021. However, DGMS authorities are yet to provide any confirmation to ascertain these claims. Interested candidates are advised to visit the official website dgms.gov.in frequently to get their queries resolved. Also, they must bear in mind that the Manager’s Competency Examination 2021 registration process will not begin until and unless the official notification is not released.
In case it is confirmed that the DGMS CBT 2021 is scheduled from December 12 to 16, 2021, registration process is likely to begin in the second week of October 2021 and continue till third week of November 2021. This prediction is based on the sequence of events that occurred during the February 2021 session. Registration process was conducted from December 16, 2020, to January 18, 2021.
Once the notification is out, interested and eligible candidates can apply for the competency exam on DGMS’s official portal. They are instructed to fill and submit the application form only through the online mode. Authorities will not accept the submission of applications through any other modes.
While filling the DGMS CBT 2021 application process, candidates have to enter details such as name, gender, date of birth, address, contact details, etc. Also, they need to upload their passport size picture, signature and certificates of education and professional qualification.
After completing the application formalities, candidates are left with paying the registration fee to appear for the DGMS Manager’s Competency Test 2021. As per February 2021 notification, First Class Manager (Metal) candidates had to pay Rs.100 whereas Second Class Manager (Metal) candidates were required to pay Rs.75. Similarly, First Class Manager (Coal) candidates had to pay Rs.1200 whereas Second Class Manager (Coal) candidates were required to pay Rs.900. The same application fee is expected to apply for the upcoming attempt.
After paying the application fee, candidates need to verify whether the fee has been processed or not. They are advised to print a copy of the confirmation page for future use.
