Dayal Singh and SBSC Cut Off Out: Increase of upto 1.5%

Finally, the wait for lakh of students is over now. The first cut off list 2019 has been released by Dyal Singh College and Ram Lal Anand college on June 27, 2019. Students need a minimum of 97% marks to take admission in BA (Hons) Economics programme at Dyal Singh College and more than 95% marks to take admission to Shaheed Bhagat Singh College. It is confirmed that other DU colleges will soon release the first cut off list for admission to undergraduate courses at their respective website.

For Dyal Sing College, the cut off for BA (Hons) English is 93% for General category, 92 for OBC, 85 for SC, 80 for ST, 70 for PWD and 90 for Kashmiri Migrants. For BA (Hons) Geography, the cut off is 92.5%, 81% for B.A (Hons) Hindi, 91 for B.A (Hons) History, 92 for B.A (Hons) Philosophy, 93 for B.A (Hons) Political Science.

In comparison to last year, there is not much change in the cut-off. For BA (Hons) Economics, the cut off for the academic year 2019 was the same as last year – 97%. Likewise, for BA (Hons) English, the cut off was the same. However, for BCom, and BCom (Hons), there has been a slight dip in the cutoff.

Last year, for admission in Dyal Singh College, the maximum cut off was for BCom (Hons) – 96.5. For B.A (Hons) English, the cut off was 96% for General category, 92% for B.A (Hons) Political Science, 90% for B.A Programme, 95.5% for BCom.

The First Cut off list 2019 for Shaheed Bhagat Singh College has also been released. BCom (Hons) and BA (Hons) Economics have the maximum cut off – 98.75%. For admission to BCom. the students need to get 96% marks, 95% for BA (Hons) English, 93.5% for BA (Hons) Geography, 82% for BA (Hons) Hindi, 92% for BA (Hons) History, 94.5% for BSc (Hons) Mathematics, 93% for BA (Hons) Political Science.

In comparison to the previous year, for Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, there has been an increase in the cut off marks for all courses. The increase in the cut off is somewhere between 01-1.5%. For BCom (Hons), the cut off has been increased from 96% to 97.5%.
