Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) has started the registration process for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2021 from today i.e., March 10, 2021. Interested candidates can apply for the entrance examination on the official website of the conducting body i.e., cusat.ac.in. The last day to register for CUSAT CAT 2021 is March 31, 2021, and with a late fee, the deadline is April 7, 2021. The state-level entrance exam is scheduled to be conducted through the computer-based format on June 12, 13 and 14, 2021.
Candidates can register for the exam by first selecting the ‘New Candidate Registration’ option on the official website cusat.ac.in. After submitting the required details, candidates shall receive the activation link on their provided email address. By clicking on the activation link, the applicant’s user account shall be activated. An important point to note that the candidate’s email address shall be the username.
Registered candidates have to log in to the official website and fill in all the required personal details in the application form. In case a candidate wishes to seek a special reservation, they must select the appropriate category from the left list box and then choose the ‘select’ button from the right list box. The next step includes uploading the candidate photograph and signature. Candidates must upload their recent passport-sized photograph and scanned image of signature according to the dimensions specified by authorities.
Candidates must also choose the appropriate undergraduate or postgraduate programme for which they are filling the application form. Once they submit their course details, candidates are provided with a short preview of their filled application form. They are advised to check their form carefully and go back to make any necessary changes. After confirming the preview, applicants have to pay the CUSAT CAT 2021 registration fee.
CUSAT CAT 2021 fee payment is to be done through the online mode using Credit Card, Debit Card or Net Banking. Candidates can pay their application fee from March 10, 2021, to April 8, 2021. Certain extra fee charges shall be applicable in case of late submission of the online form after March 31, 2021.
According to last year’s prospectus, candidates applying for State Merit/All India Quota seats had to pay Rs.1000 whereas Kerala SC and ST candidates had to pay Rs.500 as application fee. International candidates were required to pay USD 100 as an application fee. Applicants of Children of Gulf Indian Workers (CGW) had to pay Rs.6100 whereas CGW Kerala SC/ST candidates had to pay Rs.5500 for registration.
Candidates of all categories who had opted for Dubai as a test centre had to pay an additional Rs.10,000 as an application fee. Approximately the same charges are expected to be applicable this year, candidates are advised to check the latest information brochure as soon as it is out. After paying the application fee, candidates have to select their preferred test centre where seats are available. Once these steps are completed, the candidate can submit the application form and take a print-out of the confirmation page for future reference.
