Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) is going to begin the registration process for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2021 from January 1, 2021. Candidates can access the application form on the official website i.e., consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The last date to register for the examination is March 31, 2021. Subsequently, the entrance exam shall be conducted on May 9, 2021, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Through this entrance exam, candidates can get admission for undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes across 22 NLUs in the country.
Eligible candidates can apply for CLAT 2021 by first registering on the official website of the conducting body i.e., consortiumofnlus.ac.in. To do so, they must use their personal email ID and phone number. Upon registering, students shall receive an OTP to validate their contact details. After validating their contact number, candidates can login to the official website using their registered mobile number and password that was filled-in at the time of registration.
The next step includes filling the CLAT 2021 application form carefully and furnishing authentic information. They must fill their name and parent’s name as mentioned in the official documents like Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, etc. Moreover, they must carefully select the correct category and upload relevant certificate if applicable.
Candidates must bear in mind that there is no correction facility given after submission of application forms. Moreover, if any discrepancies are found in the application form, candidate shall not be allowed to appear for the examination and may get disqualified.
CLAT 2021 application process also includes uploading relevant documents in the format specified by authorities. These documents include passport-size recent photograph with plain background, candidate’s signature, caste certificate (if applicable) and PwD or BPL certificate (If applicable). Furthermore, all these documents must be uploaded in the pdf format.
The application fee of CLAT 2021 entrance exam is decided based on the category to which the candidate belongs. Candidates belonging to general, OBC, PwD, NRI, PIO and OCI categories are required to pay Rs. 4000. Applicants belonging to SC, ST and BPL categories are required to pay Rs.3500.
Students can also avail previous-year question papers by paying a sum of Rs. 500. This fee is not included in the examination fee. CLAT 2021 application fee can only be paid through online mode. No offline resources shall be accepted for fee payment. Furthermore, the application fee is non-refundable. Once the candidate has paid the application fee, the bank transaction shall be displayed in the payment gateway page.
CLAT 2021 entrance exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 9, 2021. Registration process for the same shall begin on Friday i.e., January 1, 2021. Subsequently, exam admit cards shall be made available on the official website. However, the exact date for this has not yet been specified by the concerned authorities.
