CLAT 2022 Registration Starts Tomorrow 2 PM at consortiumofnlus.ac.in; Check Complete Details of Online Application Form

Consortium of NLUS has scheduled to conduct the CLAT 2022 and 2023 examinations on May 08, 2022 and December 23, 2022 respectively.

The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has announced the CLAT 2022 schedule on their official website at consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The exam is scheduled to be held on May 08, 2022. The registration process for both UG and PG programs begins tomorrow at 2 pm on their official website. The last date to apply for the CLAT 2022 exam is March 31, 2022. Candidates are advised to go through all the eligibility criteria before proceeding with their application.

Candidates interested in pursuing LLB are required to have passed the 10+2 level or any other equivalent qualification to apply for CLAT 2022 exam., with a score of a minimum of 50% or more in their 12th board examination. 5% relaxation is provided to reserved categories, hence they can apply with 45% or more in their 12th board exams. Candidates appearing for their Class 12th examination in March/ April 2022 are also eligible for CLAT 2022 Exam. In this case, candidates need to provide evidence of passing the Class 12th boards exam at the time of admission. Candidates who fail to fulfill this will lose their right to admission through the CLAT exam.

Eligibility criteria for the LLMs remain simple as it is. Interested candidates are required to have an LL.B or any equivalent degree with a minimum of 50% marks for the general category and 45% for reserved categories. The application fee for CLAT 2022 exam is Rs 4000 for the unreserved category candidates and Rs. 3500 for reserved categories. The application fee remains the same for both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The consortium has also decided to reduce the counseling fee of CLAT. For general category students, the revised fee will be Rs 30,000. Earlier, the fee was Rs 50,000. For reserved category candidates, the fee will be Rs 20,000.

How to apply for CLAT 2022 exam

Follow the below-given steps to apply for the CLAT 2022 exam online:

Step 1: Visit the official website of CLAT at consortiumofnlus.ac.in.

Step 2: Locate the CLAT 2022 link and open the registration portal (will be displayed from January 01, 2022 at 2 pm).

Step 3: Fill in all the required details. Candidates should make sure that they enter valid and active email id during the registration.

Step 4: An OTP will be sent on the registered email id and mobile number. Complete the registration process by submitting the OTP and setting up the password.

Step 5: Log in with the registered email id and password. 

Step 6: Fill in all the personal, educational, and qualifications details. 

Step 7: Proceed with uploading the required files (Scanned copy of passport size photo and signature).

Step 8: Enter exam center preferences followed by the NLU’s preferences.

Step 9: Enter reservation details ( if any). Check the declaration box. Submit the form. Pay the application fees.

The consortium of NLUs will commence the offline-based CLAT 2022 exam on May 08, 2022, at 2 pm sharp. All exam-related details for both UG and PG programmes are readily available on the official website. The exam will be conducted at 82 cities and 147 affiliated test centers across the country. According to the CLAT  2022 exam pattern, the exam duration will be of two-hours during which UG applicants are required to answer 150 objective-type questions whereas PG applicants are required to attempt 120 MCQ-based questions.
