The clock is ticking for the CLAT 2019 aspirants. With less than 5 months remaining for CLAT 2019, and CLAT 2019 Application form live on the official website, candidates have rolled up their sleeves. Everyone is working their best to get notable marks in CLAT 2019 exam. Every law aspirant dreams to get into the top NLU’s in India but because of the tough competition, only a few bag the seats.

CLAT 2019 Syllabus consists of 5 sections namely – GK and Current affairs, Legal Aptitude, logical reasoning, elementary mathematics, and English Language and comprehension. Similarly, CLAT 2019 Syllabus for PG includes – Constitutional Law Law of Contracts, Criminal Law, Intellectual Property Law, Law of Torts, Law of Contracts and other topics already studied in bachelors of Law degree.

Honestly grabbing a seat at the top NLU’s like NLU Bangalore, NALSAR is not a cake walk. However, this journey can be memorable if candidates work hard everyday for these 5 months. Therefore to utilize these 5 months the most, they can follow the below preparation tips for CLAT 2019 exam.

CLAT 2019 5 Months Preparation Tips – Section Wise

General Knowledge and Current Affaires – Pick at least 2 newspapers every day and thoroughly read them. Mark important dates, events, maintain a separate notebook for noting new and upcoming events.

AIM: GK is a vast and never-ending subject. Therefore, it must be studied every day.

English Language and Composition

Newspapers again to the rescue – reading and analyzing newspapers every day, especially the Editorial Section will help the candidates get to know new words, improve grammar and gain knowledge. Besides, candidates can pick up Wren and Martin and Word Power Made Easy by Norman Lewis to sharpen up the learned skills.

AIM: Complete within 25-30 days.

Legal Aptitude

Apply facts and not just assume the answer. Understanding this section requires the students to think logically and not emotionally. Most of the time the right answer is the one closest to the given law principle. Reading newspapers to have small chunks of facts every day and solving mocks help a lot for Legal Aptitude section.

AIM: Complete within 30 days.

Logical Reasoning

The prerequisite to solving this section is gaining speed and accuracy. Aim to learn shortcuts and tricks. Both can be achieved by looking up the previous year question papers and solving Logical reasoning mocks. Books such as Logical Reasoning by R. S. Aggarwal and Analytical Reasoning by M K Pandey can save a lot of time.

AIM: Complete within 30 days.

Mathematics

You can finish this section within 20 minutes in CLAT 2019 Exam. To master this section, first, clear the basics and next, take a look at the important questions up to 10th standard maths. Students must master speed and accuracy. Having a good knowledge of the formulas save a lot of time. Practicing the option elimination method to lessen the time taken to solve the questions will also help a lot.

AIM: Complete within 15-20 days
