National University of Advanced Legal Studies, Kochi, announced CLAT 2018 Result today, on May 31, 2018. The result has been declared on the official website, clat.ac.in and the candidates can check it by entering registration number/roll number and password. The Common Law Admission Test 2018 has been aced by Aman Garg.
The first three toppers belong to the pink city Jaipur. Aman has got 159 marks out of 200. With this, he has bagged the All India General Rank 1. Following him in the race are Devansh Kaushik and Anmol Gupta, who have secured rank 2 and 3, respectively. Both the candidates have secured 157.5 marks but as per the norm of tie-breaking, according to the marks in legal aptitude, the authority has assigned the respective ranks.
Congratulations to all the successful candidates of CLAT 2018. Now, the registration for CLAT counselling will begin soon. The counselling will begin from June 07, 2018. On this date, the first merit list for CLAT 2018 will be released. Candidates featured in the list will be required to pay the amount for confirmation of seat.
The fee payment will begin from June 08 and will end on June 12, 2018. Candidates who will not remit the fee amount before the lapse of the deadline will not get the seat. The amount of fee is Rs. 50000. Candidates can submit it via Net Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card.
After the fee payment, the candidates will be called for document verification round, in the respective NLU. Here, the candidates will have to produce CLAT 2018 application confirmation page, admit card, scorecard, class 10th mark sheet, class 12th mark sheet, caste certificate (if any), specially abled certificate (if applicable), domicile certificate, etc.
The candidates who will get through the document verification round will get the final admission letter and date of joining. It should be noted that in all there will be three round of CLAT counselling. For round two and three, the locking of choices will be done separately.
In all, 19 NLUs participate in the counselling of CLAT. These are – NLSIU Bangalore, NALSAR Hyderabad, NLIU Bhopal, WBNUJS Kolkata, NLU Jodhpur, HNLU Raipur, GNLU Gandhinagar, RMLNLU Lucknow, CNLU Patna, RGNUL Punjab, NUALS Kochi, NLUO Odisha, NUSRL Ranchi, NLUJA Assam, DSNLU Visakhapatnam, TNNLS Tiruchirappalli, MNLU Mumbai, MNLU Nagpur, and MNLU Aurangabad.
