The Directorate of School Education (DSE) , Puducherry government, has issued a circular stating that all the students who are studying in classes 1 to 9 in Puducherry and Karaikkal regions will be promoted to higher classes. The circular was issued on April 27, 2022. The summer vacation for schools under the DSE Puducherry will begin on April 30, 2022.
All Students From Classes 1 to 9 will be Promoted
The circular states that all the students who are studying in the schools under the Puducherry government from classes 1 to 9 should be promoted to higher classes. The principals of the schools have received the orders regarding the same. The schools must send the list of the students in the respective classes to the concerned inspective officers on or before May 15, 2022. The heads of the schools are also instructed to publish the final list of promoted students only after obtaining approval from the inspective officers.
The schools are required to send an abstract of the particulars of standard wise promotion along with the list of students. It is strictly mentioned in the official notification that no student should be left out of the promotion list beacuse of any reasons such as attendance shortage, non payement of fees etc. The approved list of promoted students will be send to the respective schools five days after receiving the same at the office of the concerned inspective officiers.
In case of private schools under the Directorate of School Education Puducherry are required to attach their recognition/ renewal of recognition order for the school issued by the DSE. Also, the last day of instruction for various classes are also mentioned in the official notification for the purpose of issue of the Transfer Certificate (TC).
Summer Vacation for Students Announced by Various States
In the wake of the ongoing heat wave across the country, many states have announced the date of commencement of the summer vacation. Several states including Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal have also announced the dates for the summer vacation. Some other states have changed the school timings to tackle the adversity of the heat wave.
