Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha is going to commence the CHSE Odisha examination for class 12th from April 28, 2022. As per the latest statement by the state government, the exam shall be held in a single shift from 9 AM. The board further said that this decision has been taken in lieu of the difficulties faced by the candidates during the COVID-19. Reports suggest that this year, at least 3 lakhs 20 thousand students shall be participating in the board exam.
CHSE Odisha 2022 – Class 12 marks calculation
The board has put forth a formula for calculating the final marks scored in the annual examination of class 12th. According to that, 80% of the marks shall be assigned to the annual exam, whereas 20% of the marks will be considered for the quarter examination. Also, 20% weightage shall be given to the marks scored in the quarter exams conducted by the schools. It shall be considering the marks scored in the best two internal exams.
The board has suggested an alternate scheme as per which it shall be comparing the marks scored in the final performance in the annual exam. Apart from this, it shall be calculating the marks derived by applying the 80:20 formula. On comparing both the marks, the one which is higher shall be considered as final marks in the Odisha CHSE 2022 examination. In order to avoid confusion, it shall be rounding off the marks scored to the nearest decimal.
CHSE Odisha 2022 Practical Exams
The date sheet for the practical exams shall also be announced soon. As reported in the local media, practical exams for CHSE Odisha class 12 will be conducted internally.
This announcement on CHSE Odisha exam date came after the candidates started voicing out the demand for the CHSE exam dates. The board was not keen to release the exam dates, however, after the candidates protested against this negligent behaviour, it announced the exam date.
