On May 05, 2019, Staff Selection Commission has opened a window to check the application status of all those candidates who had submitted their CGL and MTS applications before the last date. Candidates can check their SSC CGL 2018 Application Status and SSC MTS 2019 Application Status by entering their date of birth and registration number, on its official website, ssc.nic.in.
Till now, the CGL 2018 application status window for SSC Southern Region and SSC Karnataka Region has only been released. While for other regions like Madhya Pradesh, Northern Region, Central Region, North Eastern Region, Western Region, Eastern Region and North Western Region, it is expected to be out soon.
The exact SSC CGL exam date has not yet been notified. But, MTS Exam is scheduled to be conducted between August 02-06, 2019 for Tier 1, whereas on November 17, 2019 for Tier 2. The application process of MTS (Non-Technical) Staff Examination 2019 is currently going on till May 29, 2019 up to 5 pm. Whereas the fee payment could be made in online mode till May 31, 2019 and June 01, 2019 in offline (challan) mode.
How To Check SSC CGL/ MTS Application Status?
To check the application status for SSC CGL or MTS Exam, a candidate needs different details. But, the procedure is somewhat similar. To start with, a candidate needs to visit the official website of Staff Selection Commission, i.e ssc.nic.in to check MTS Application status. Over the main page, a candidate finds the “Login” option, on the right hand side of the screen. Just below the login box, a candidate finds “Check MTS Application Status”, click that. On clicking that, enter and submit your registration number to make your SSC MTS application status appear, on the device’s screen.
But, in case of Combined Graduate Level (Tier 1) Application Status, a candidate needs to follow a separate procedure. As SSC CGL is conducted for 9 zones, a candidate need to start this process by visiting the respective zones’ SSC official website. Over the main page, a candidate finds the relevant link to check their application status, click that. Candidates are required to enter their registration number and date of birth, like details to proceed. Over the next page, a candidate gets to know what all steps have been completed by them and what all needs to be completed before the last date.
It is necessary for a candidate to check their SSC application status. In case of any discrepancy, the same needs to be rectified, before the a candidate’s application gets rejected. The probable reasons of SSC Application form rejection is false information being filled by a candidate, fee not submitted before the due date, application form submitted was incomplete, photographs not uploaded as per the specifications and documents not uploaded, as per guidelines.
SSC CGL exam is conducted in four tiers, in which Tier 1 & 2 are Computer Based Exam, Tier 3 is a descriptive type exam and Tier 4 is a Skill/ Computer Proficiency Test/ Document Verification Round. Tier 1 and 2 Exam is held for a duration of 60 and 120 minutes, respectively. Questions from General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Comprehension, Quantitative Abilities, English Language and Comprehension, Statistics and General Studies (Finance and Economics) needs to be attempted in Tier 1 & 2 SSC CGL exam.
While in Tier 3 of the exam, a candidate is given 60 minutes to solve a 100 mark, subjective type paper. In this case, a candidate needs to attempt an essay, precis, letter or application question in either English or Hindi Language.
