The talk of the town is all about changes in JEE Main 2019 examination with the inception of NTA. All eyes are now on the confirmation of whether or not NTA is going to take over JEE Main from 2019 onwards. Yes, the national Testing Agency has been successfully formed and recently it’s Director General has been appointed.  The former chairman of Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Vineet Joshi, is the first Director-General (DG) of the National Testing Agency (NTA). He will have a tenure of 5 Years. With the DG being appointed, everyone is keen to know whether or not NTA will take charge from 2019.

Well, as of now speculations are NTA will conduct JEE Main 2019. As the decision to form an autonomous body to relax CBSE of the burden of conducting so many competitive exams was pending for long. Now that NTA is here, it most possibly will start conducting examination from 2019 onwards.A budget of Rs. 25 Crore has been allotted to NTA to start functioning. So the possibility is it will start its role as a conducting body of many major competitive exams from 2019.

NTA 2019

There are few changes that National Testing Agency (NTA) will introduce in the way all the examinations were conducted till date. These changes have been confirmed by an official notice.

All the examination conducted by NTA will be in online mode only and NTA will take charge of all those examinations that are being conducted by CBSE till date, which includes JEE Main. Gradually, in the long run, all entrance examination will fall under NTA’s umbrella.

The most major feature that the candidates must look up to is that these examinations will be also conducted twice in a year.

Thus, JEE Main will be conducted twice a year and in online mode only.

The official notice confirms only these changes. But the most asked question is about the changes in selection process, syllabus and exam pattern. The body has yet not made any official announcement about these factors.

Will NTA Conduct JEE Main 2019

Although these changes are expected in JEE Main if NTA becomes its conducting body. Although many experts claim that there may be few changes in the exam pattern — More concept based questions may be introduced, there may be short answer type questions included and syllabus may undergo certain changes.

But these are all predictions and speculations. Until any official announcement candidates must continue with the old pattern and syllabus. NTA is expected to inform any major change much before so as the candidates do not feel pressurised at the last moment.

Many reports claim that NTA will come into effect form next year and will release the official JEE Main 2019 Notification.

National Testing Agency

The NTA will take over the majority of the examinations conducted by the CBSE from 2019 in a phased manner. NTA will start its operations with the Joint Engineering Entrance (JEE) and National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET-UG) for admissions to medical/ dental programmes from 2019. – Times of India

What do you think, the changes expected from NTA will benefit the candidates? Will the existing issues be solved? Do comment your opinions below.
