Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released JEE Main 2018 Official Answer Key. It is available at jeemain.nic.in, from April 24 to 27, 2018. Candidates can use the official key to cross-check their answers in the exam. The candidates can also challenge the answer key of JEE Main 2018 in case of disagreement.
The challenge for OMR answer sheet and answer keys is accepted through online mode only. The candidates just need to access JEE Main 2018 Answer Key Login by entering the application number and password. Once login, candidates need to click on “Challange of Answer Key” tab. It is the third tab from left, as in the image below.
After clicking on this link, the window as shown below will open. Here, the candidates need to click on “Challange Answer Keys” tab.
Moving on further, the window as below will open and here the candidates will have to select Book Number (A, B, C, D) and Question Number. The answer will automatically appear. Then, the candidates will have to insert that answer which they think is correct in the “Claimed Answer” tab. The candidates can use the “Add” button to submit more challenges.
For each question challenged by the candidate, he / she will have to pay a prescribed fee of Rs. 1000 which can be paid either by debit or credit card. An expert committee will scrutinize the answer key along with the challenge and if found correct, the required changes will be made in the final answer key.
On the basis of the final answer key, the result of JEE Main 2018 will be prepared. The result is due to announce on April 30, 2018. However, the result for Paper II will release on May 31, 2018. The candidates will be able to check the result from jeemain.nic.in.
Candidates should note that the final decision of Joint Academic Board (JAB) or Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) would be final in case of the answers. A final answer key will be released in case objections made by students accepted. The final answer key will also be released on the official website only.
JEE Main is conducted each year by CBSE for admission to top engineering and technological institutes of the country. This year as many as 10.43 lakh candidates had registered for JEE Main. The exam was conducted on April 8 for offline mode and April 15, 16, 2018 for online mode. Answer keys for JEE Main 2018 of Paper 1 for both, online and offline mode to be released for all the codes, A, B, C, and D. Results for JEE Main Paper 1 will be announced on April 30 and for Paper 2 on April 31, 2018, on the official website.
