Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education (HP BOSE) has announced class 12th Result at its official website hpbose.org. Candidates can check their HP BOSE 12th Results online from the official website. About 98,302 candidates had appeared for the board exam which was held on March 6 to 24, 2018. In which 68,469 students have passed and the overall percentage is 69.67% this year.
Candidates can check the exam result by going to the official website. Here the candidate has to click on the button named ‘Results’. After which you will navigate to another page where you have to search the notification for class 12th result and click on it. Enter your Roll Number and check your result. It is advised to take a printout for future reference. As a large number of students are checking HP Board Class 12th Result 2018 simultaneously, therefore the candidate might face glitches while visiting the website. It is advised for candidates to keep calm and try after some time.
Each year since 2015-16 the number of students who appear for the exam has been declining. In 2016 approximately 4,43,216 students, in 2017 a total of 1,01,945 students has appeared. This year the number has declined to 98,302 students.
Last year students had taken part in the exam from science, commerce and arts streams. For science stream 23,467 students had passed out of 30,481 students who had appeared for the exam. In commerce stream 11,587 students had passed out of 15,381 students while in Arts stream only 38,616 were passed out of 56,083 students who had opted.
Last year the highest percentage was scored by Ritik Kandoria, a whopping 98.4 percent in science stream. Falguni Aggarwal who had scored 96.8 percent, highest in the commerce stream was second in the line.Followed by Neha Hem Prabh who had scored 95.2 percent, highest in the arts stream. Previous year girls had outperformed boys in the board’s exam.
HP BOSE was established in the year 1969 with its headquarters in Dharamshala. Responsibilities such as prescribing course, textbooks and the conduction of examinations for secondary school students are managed by the Board in the state of Himachal Pradesh. More than 8,000 schools at present are affiliated to the Board. Other than managing class 10th and 12th it also organizes other competitive exams such as Junior Office Assistant (IT), Jr. Clerks, TET etc.
