Chattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CGPEB) has released the notification for the Chattisgarh Teacher Eligibility Test (CG TET) 2022. The official notification applicable for the 2020-21 recruitment has been released on the official website vyapam.cgstate.gov.in. Accordingly, CGPEB has already begun the online application process for the eligibility test. Applications are invited from interested candidates, of course, subjected to eligibility criteria specified by the board.
Exam Dates & Timings
According to the official CG TET 2022 notification, the eligibility test is likely to be held on January 09, 2022. However, this is a tentative date that may change depending on the existing circumstances. The exam will be conducted in two papers – Paper I and Paper II.
Paper I is meant for those who wish to teach Classes 1 to 5. This will be held from 9:30 am to 12:15 pm. Similarly, the CGTET 2022 Paper II, meant for Classes 6 to 8, will be conducted from 2:00 pm to 4:45 pm. So essentially, candidates will receive 2 hours and 45 minutes to attempt and complete the entire paper.
The CG TET 2022 examination will be held in the OMR-based pen-and-paper format, at selected centers across the state. But to appear for this exam, candidates need to fill and submit the online application form. To do so, they have time up to December 19, 2021, at 11:59 pm. The entire application process is being conducted online. Each candidate is expected to complete all formalities to successfully apply for the eligibility test.
In case a candidate has committed a mistake in his/her CG TET 2022 application form, he/she need not worry. CGPEB will be providing a correction facility for two days, i.e. on December 20 and 21, 2021, to rectify their application.
Additionally, a candidate may fill up the CG TET 2022 application form but late, decide to not appear for the state-level eligibility test. In that case, CGPEB will refund the application fee to the respective candidate.
Initially, the CG TET examination was set to be conducted on March 22, 2020. The online application process for the same was held from February 14 to March 01, 2020. However, due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, this eligibility test was put on hold. The exam was thus, postponed indefinitely.
Now that the COVID-19 cases have drastically reduced within the state, CGPEB has re-opened the online application portal, for a duration of 3-4 days to invite more candidates to appear for the exam.
