Central Selection Board of Constable is inviting online applications for the post of Forester. The recruitment is under Environment, Forest and Climate Change Department, Government of Bihar. The official notification for the same with Advt. No. 04/2020 can be downloaded from csbc.bih.nic.in. Total of 236 vacancies is announced for the Forester post. Applications from male and female candidates are invited. Those who are shortlisted under this post receives Rs. 29,200 – Rs. ,/- as monthly salary. Online applications for the said posts start from July 27, 2020, onwards. Eligible candidates can submit their forms before the last date, September 10, 2020.
Applicants who have passed 10+2 standard with Science stream or its equivalent can submit their forms for Forester. The lower age limit for all the candidates is 18 years. Those who are applying through direct recruitment, the upper age limit for unreserved/EWS category candidates is 25 years, for BC/EBC is 27 years and for SC/ST is 30 years. For employees of the Bihar government, the upper age limit for unreserved/EWS category is 30 years, 32 years for BC/EBC candidates and 35 years for SC/ST. CSBC calculates the age of eligible candidates as on January 01, 2020. Moreover, candidates also have to comply with the physical standard as suggested in the notification.
To apply, candidates have to first visit the official website of CSBC. Reaching the website, candidates have to click on “Forest Department” tab to get the online application form link. Before applying, candidates are asked to register themselves online. They are advised to keep a valid mobile number and email id for registration. After successful registration, a registration ID is sent to candidates to log in and fill up the application form. During the application procedure, candidates are required to submit the application fee depending on their category. Unreserved/EWS/EBC/BC candidates have to pay Rs. 450/- and SC/ST candidates have to pay Rs. 112/- as the application fee. Once the application fee submission is done, a message regarding the successful registration is sent to candidates.
Eligible candidates are shortlisted for the said post based on written exam and PST/PET round. The written examination is conducted for 400 questions carrying 100 marks. Candidates have to answer objective type questions wherein they have to choose one option as the answer. Each question of CSBC recruitment carries 04 marks and there will be negative marking for every incorrect answer. To know the scheme of examination and syllabus for the exam, aspirants are advised to go through the notification available on the website. Those who secure 40% marks are shortlisted for the PST/PET round. The final merit of the recruitment is prepared based on the marks obtained in the written exam.
