Central Railways has released an official notification for the engagement of eligible candidates in Paramedical Staff in Group C. The posts that are advertised are of Staff Nurse, Pharmacist, Lab Technician and X-Ray Technician. As per the official notification, a total of 48 vacancies is out for the same. Applications from retired as well as fresh candidates are invited before September 02, 2020. Those who are eligible are called for the interview round. This year, due to the novel coronavirus, Central Railways recruitment body has decided to interview through Whatsapp/ Skype recorded conference call. For the Lab Technician post, the interview is scheduled for September 04, 2020, and for X-Ray Technician the interview will be conducted on September 07, 2020. The online interview for Pharmacist post is scheduled to be conducted from September 08, 2020, to September 09, 2020. Similarly, interview for Staff Nurse will be conducted from September 10, 2020, to September 11, 2020. The online interview shall be conducted from 10:00 AM onwards till 05:00 PM.
To apply for the said posts, candidates must fulfil the eligibility criteria as prescribed by the Central Railways. Applicants who are applying for Staff Nurse must possess a certificate for the registration as Nurse and Midwife. They must have passed 03 years course in General Nursing and Midwifery or B. Sc (Nursing). To apply for Pharmacist post, candidates must have passed 10+2 from Science stream or possess equivalent education with Diploma in Pharmacy. Those who have a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B. Pharma) can also apply for Pharmacist post. B. Sc with Bio-chemistry/ Micro Biology/ Life Science/ B. Sc with Chemistry and Biology as a main or optional subject/ or equivalent plus Diploma in Medical Lab Technology or B. Sc in Lab Technology is required for Lab Technician. Candidates who have passed 10+2 with Physics and Chemistry and have Diploma in Radiography/ X-Ray Technician/ Radiodiagnosis Technology can apply for X-Ray Technician post. Those who have a graduation degree in Science with Diploma in Radiography/ X-Ray Technician/ Radiodiagnosis Technology are preferred.
Both fresh and retired aspirants shall abide by the age limit as specified in the notification. To apply for Staff Nurse, candidates age should be within the age range of 20 years to 40 years, for Pharmacist post their age should be within 20 years to 35 years. Those who are intending to apply for Lab Technician post should ensure that their age is within the age limit of 18 years to 33 years and 19 years to 33 years for X-Ray Technician. For Retired aspirants, the upper age should not exceed that of 65 years as on August 26, 2020 (for all posts).
