Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has extended the registration deadline for Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) 2021 and Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination (UCEED) 2021. Earlier, the last date to apply for the exam, without the late fee, was October 31, 2020. However, now the candidates can apply until November 10, 2020. Registration with late fee is open on November 11 and 12, 2020.
Aspirants can register for CEED 2021 and UCEED 2021 from the official website, which are ceed.iitb.ac.in and uceed.iitb.ac.in, respectively. On the homepage of the website, candidates need to click on “registration form” link. Following it, the candidates first need to register, then fill details in the application form, upload images, and pay the application fee. The details entered in the application form must be authentic and as per the official documents.
The application fee for CEED 2021 is Rs. 3200. However, females / ST /SC / PwD candidates only need to pay Rs. 1600. Aspirants of UCEED 2021 have to pay Rs. 3500 as application fee. The amount of application fee for females / ST /SC / PwD candidates is Rs. 1750. Candidates can pay UCEED and CEED application fee online, via net banking, debit card, credit card, etc.
Admit cards for both exams shall be issued by authorities on January 1, 2021. Candidates can download it online, from the official website by entering username and password. In the admit card, exam time, date, center address, instructions, etc. details will be mentioned. The candidates can get discrepancies rectified in the admit card by January 07, 2021.
UCEED and CEED are design entrance exam. While the UCEED is held for B.Des admission, CEED is conducted for admission in M.Des courses. Through UCEED, IIT Bombay, Guwahati, Hyderabad, and Jabalpur grant admission. Other than this, institutes like Manipal, VIT, CEPT, etc. Score of CEED is accepted by IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kanpur, and Jabalpur. However, the result is also shared by institutes like UPES and World University of Design.
