CBSE Board to Introduce AI Course in Class 8, 9 & 10 from Next Academic Session; AI Syllabus Would be Drafted Soon

The Central Board of Secondary Education has come up with another initiative for the accomplishment of the affiliated schools and for the students. The CBSE Board has decided to add a new subject named Artificial Intelligence in the list of the skill educational subjects. AI will be introduced for the students of class 8, 9 and 10 from the next academic session.

In a recent meeting, the board has taken this decision. A member of the board’s government body has confirmed this news. CBSE Board will release the official notification very soon on the official website.

Within a few days, the syllabus of the Artificial Intelligence would be drafted. It would be available for all the three classes such as class 8, 9 and 10. The board will also focus on the capacity building of schools for teaching and learning AI, if necessary. So, it would be helpful for the schools to be well versed and also for the learnings of the students.

The idea of this subject was originated in a session held at NITI Aayog a few days prior. The board has also consult it with the stakeholders and with some of the schools authority and they all are ready to take this step.

Artificial Intelligence provides vast scope for students focusing on their careers. AI is a new technology that is already impacting the users. With the help of it, a human can develop the machines, able to perform tasks normally requiring human intelligence. It is also important for the candidates who want to make their future in the field of data science and big data.

The CBSE Board currently provides a total of 24 vocational subjects to the students under NSQF. Now, a new subject is going to be added.

Currently, CBSE has 20,299 schools in the country and 220 schools in 25 other countries.

The CBSE Board has also provided the option to the students of selecting the easier or more testing question papers. The students are free to do so.

For the present session, the Central Board of Secondary Education has released the CBSE Date Sheet 2019 for class 10 and 12. The exams for class 10 will begin from February 21 and will end on March 29, 2019. For class 12, the board will conduct the exams from February 15 to April 03, 2019. The candidates can download the time table online on the official website cbse.nic.in

CBSE board is a national level board which manages the educational activities of class 10 and 12 throughout the country. Its full name is the Central Board of Secondary Education. The board provides the syllabus to the affiliated schools. It also conducts the exams and after that, declares the result for the same.
