CBSE Launched 'Shiksha Vani' Podcast Platform

After introducing the new changes in 2019 board exams CBSE has now launched a digital application for providing the latest updates to the entire audience instantly. This application is named as ‘ Shiksha Vani’, a podcast platform can easily accessible by principals, teachers as well as parents and students. Through this desired audience can access any circular instantly in the audio form. This is really an innovative step of CBSE in order to make its system more responsive.

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started its evaluation process for the board exams 2019. For this board needs to provide the proper guidelines across the centres. Therefore, to avoid any type of mistake CBSE felt to introduce its own podcast. Through this, the accessible categories can instantly check out the audio clips of any circular uploaded by CBSE.

To download the ‘Shiksha Vani’ application visit the google play store. Click on the Shiksha Vani icon appear on your screen. There are 8 categories of audience available such as Principals, Teachers, Centre Superintendent, and Invigilators, CNS and Examiners, Regional Officers, Parents, and Students, Public and Recent. Select your appropriate category.  Log in using the registered mobile numbers except for the parents and students, public and recent category. OTP will send to the registered mobile number.

All the respective audio clips as per the category are listed in the chronological order. A user can also search for the specific audio clip by entering the specific keyword. Tap the desired audio clip to play it.

Shiksha Vani podcast is only compatible with android users. iPhone users cannot access this application for now.

In comparison to the written information released in the form of circulars, podcasts are highly effective and engaging. As if we take the example of the classroom then oral communication is more effective, time efficient and environment friendly. Therefore, to make the system more responsive CBSE has come up with this initiative.

On March 18, 2019, CBSE has released the notification for the same on its official website- cbse.nic.in. The board examinations for class 10th and 12th are going on. Meanwhile, the evaluation process has also been started. For the academic year 2018-19 CBSE has decided to release the result a bit earlier than the previous year.
