CBSE Going To Implement AI, ECCE and Yoga As Optional Subjects This Year

After the completion of the 2018-19 academic session, CBSE is going to introduce the new subjects from the academic session 2019-20. As per reports, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is going to include Artificial Intelligence (AI), Early Childhood Care Education (ECCE) and Yoga as an optional subject. Though AI is to be introduced as a sixth elective (optional) subject for class 9. While Yoga and ECCE are to be introduced for class 12.

Now, the question arises what is the need of these subjects? Why CBSE thinks that these subjects to be included in the school curriculum? Let’s check out. Artificial Intelligence is the subject that has gained geo-strategic importance in the last few years. Thus, to increase the approach of disciplinary in learning as well as teaching and to make the new generation familiar with the new skill set CBSE has decided the same. On the other hand, Yoga is the subject which brings the way of living and some aims among the students. At the same time keep the mind and body healthy. A healthy mind gives a healthy and better result. Early Childhood Care Education (ECCE) trains the students about how to teach the students of nursery and kindergarten.

So, each and every subject has its own importance and benefits. At the same time with what you want to continue or what is the area of your interest is also plays a very important role. Thus, keeping in mind all the aspects Central Board of Secondary Education decided to include the AI as a sixth optional subject for class 9th students. While yoga and ECCE subjects to be included as an optional subject for senior secondary (class 12th).

Education what we attain till our secondary and senior secondary level remains with us the entire life. There is no end of knowledge and there is no harm to learn a new skill. To develop yourself it is must that you opt the challenges of your surroundings and if we inculcate this habit from the beginning then it helps a lot to choose the right path. This is what CBSE wants to from our next generation. Each and every year CBSE  introduces the new rules for making the education system versatile as well as improves the quality of education.

Annually CBSE has conducted the examinations of more than 40 vocational subjects and here we are with some more. As some might feel pressurize or feel that a lot of choices might confusion among the students. So, what do you think about this new change of CBSE?
