Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the CBSE Class 10 Science (Code 086) sample paper for the 2021-2022 session. The board has also provided the solutions for the sample paper PDF. CBSE Class 10 Science paper is scheduled for tomorrow, December 02, 2021. The examination will be conducted for a composite duration of 90 minutes from 11 am to 12.30 pm.
Candidates going to appear for the examination tomorrow are hereby advised to go through the sample papers for Class 10 Science (code 086). Earlier, the board has also released the revised syllabus, marking scheme etc for the subject.
CBSE Class 10 Science Sample paper: How to Download

Step 1: Visit the official website of CBSE, cbse.gov.in
Step 2: On the homepage, click on the CBSE sample paper for 2020-21
Step 3: Next choose class X or XII out of the options provided and proceed to the next page
Step 4: After this, navigate the subject list and click on the sample paper and solutions PDF link
Step 5: Save the copy of Class 10 Science sample paper and solutions PDF on the device
According to the revised exam pattern, there shall be three sections, i.e. A, B and C. Section A will have 20 MCQ questions and section B will have 5 short answer type questions. Similarly, section C will have 7 short type questions each accounting for 3 marks. Section D is going to have 2 long answer questions each for 5 marks. The maximum mark assigned to the Term 1 Science paper is 80 marks. The board has revised the question paper structure and have changed them to partially MCQ (multiple choice based questions) and partially theory-based questions.
CBSE Class 10 Science Syllabus
According to the revised syllabus, the CBSE Class 10 Science is going to be held for 100 marks, out of which 80 marks are for theory papers and the rest 20 marks for practicals. For the Theory paper, questions from the below-mentioned topics and marks can be expected in the examination:
- Unit 1: Chemical Subjects- Nature and Behaviour (Chapter 1, 2, 3 )-16 marks
- Unit 2: World of Living(Chapter 6) – 10 marks
- Unit 3: Natural Phenomena (Chapter 10, 11 )-14 marks
