The results for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2021 exam have been declared today, January 03, 2022, on the official website of IIM CAT at iimcat.ac.in. Candidates eagerly waiting for results can now check it online on their official website. Scorecards have also been published by the officials that display the applicant’s sectional and total CAT score along with CAT 2021 percentile on it. Candidates are advised to download their respective scorecards without any delay as the website might experience slow losing and heavy traffic soon.
CAT 2021 was held on November 28, 2021. The exam was conducted at 438 affiliated test centers in 156 cities across India. CAT 2021 answer key has been already released for all three sessions of the admission test on December 8, 2021. Applicants were invited to raise objections against the provisional answer key till December 11, 2021. The final answer key was released two to three days later. The final results have now been declared by the authorities on its official website.
According to an official notice posted on the IIM CAT website, “The list of candidates shortlisted for the next level of selection will be made available on the website of the respective IIMs. Each IIM will send interview letters to the shortlisted candidates directly. The criteria for shortlisting vary across IIMs”. Applicants will be shortlisted depending on their performance in the Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interviews (PI).
How to download the CAT 2021 Scorecard?

Step 1: Visit the official website of IIM CAT at iimcat.ac.in.
Step 2: Locate the ‘CAT 2021 Results link on their homepage (once released).
Step 3: Applicants will be redirected to a login portal on the next page.
Step 4: Enter the required credentials asked on the page. Take help of CAT 2021 admit card wherever needed.
Step 5: Applicants’ respective scorecards will be displayed on the screen. Download the scorecard for future reference.
After the declaration of the CAT 2021 exam result, various IIMs will release the CAT 2021 cutoff individually. The process of shortlisting candidates will be based on individual CAT cut-offs. The CAT cutoff will include the minimum marks required by candidates to be eligible for MBA admission 2022-24. The scores of candidates are subject to a process of normalization.
IIM’s will release the list of qualified candidates eligible to seek admission in their respective institutes, on their official website at iimcat.ac.in. Interview letters will be sent to every qualified candidate individually via post/mail. The official website also reports that IIM may additionally use other factors such as the previous academic performance of the candidates, relevant work experience, gender academic diversity, rankings, and other similar inputs in shortlisting of candidates at various stages of the admission process”.
