IIM Ahmedabad is going to conduct the CAT 2021 on November 28, 2021, for admission into the top IIM colleges. The conducting body never releases the syllabus or final CAT exam pattern in any public domain. However, the examination has questions from three subjects i.e. Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC), Quantitative Aptitude (QA), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR).
Earlier, a report by TOI stated that the convenor for this year, IIM Ahmedabad is in talks to reduce the number of questions from 76 to 66 or 64 with given the time constraint candidates generally face. Other than this, the time limit of 2 hours, syllabus and conducting of exam in 3 phases per day stands unchanged. It is advisable that candidates stick to the official website for getting the latest update regarding the exam pattern of CAT 2021.
Although nothing has been announced yet by the concerned authorities with roughly one month left for the exam, it is very crucial that candidates are well versed with the important topics to ace the exam with a high percentile. Hence, with a view of helping the candidates, we have compiled important topics along with the expected weightage for all three subjects in the sections below.

Another most important tip that we wish to impart is that the candidates must prioritise attempting mock tests on a regular basis for performance analysis. This will help them in clearing the IIM CAT 2021 examination with ease as it allows the candidates to work on the weaker sections right from the beginning.
