Canara PO Result was announced by Canara Bank yesterday, on March 21, 2018. It is the result of written exam held on March 4, 2018, for recruitment of Probationary Officer in JMGS I on completing PGDBF course. Out of all the candidates who appeared for the exam, only one thousand three hundred ninety seven have qualified. They will further attend group discussion and personal interviews. After that, only 450 candidates will get selected against available vacancies as per Canara Bank PO Result. Qualified candidates will start getting calls for interview directly from Canara Bank.
The result that has been published for written exam is a PDF file containing roll numbers, registration numbers, names of all qualified candidates. Right now, marks of candidates are not revealed. Canara Bank PO recruitment 2018 exam was of 200 marks. As per exam analysis, it was an easy-moderate difficulty level exam. There were 50 questions each on reasoning, quantitative aptitude, english language, general awareness.
Those who have qualified, should speed up their preparation for group discussion and interview. For GD PI, you should keep a few things in mind. Such as, you should think rationally during the discussion.
When you get time to prepare, jot down points on the topic and try to back up what you are saying with data and examples. It is better to be conversant with ongoing events as that really adds value to your inputs in GD.
At time of GD and interview, candidates who belong to reserved category will also have to submit their caste / PWD certificate. Check instructions in Canara PO Admit Card for interview.
Those who have not qualified should not give up now. There are several ongoing bank recruitments. For example the SBI SO recruitment 2018 is going on, however its eligibility requirements are a bit different from Canara Bank.
Then NABARD 2018 recruitment for Grade A has also started registrations. Also, if reports are to be believed, then RBI Grade B recruitment 2018 will also start in May.
Every time Bank PO exam results are announced, many candidates are surprised if they are not selected despite attempting a lot of questions. Once again after Canara PO results were announced, many candidates claimed that they, or their friends attempted more than 150 questions but could not clear the exam.
Here, it is pertinent to point out that more than attempts, accuracy matters. The exam has negative marking, so for every incorrect answer, you not only lost marks for that question but also your overall score goes down. The bank can only select candidates in 1:3 ratio for group discussion and interview. That determines cut offs.
Regarding date of interview, there is no clarity yet on exact dates. However, Canara Bank will convey them to selected candidates in good time. Candidates should check their registered email IDs and mobile numbers for email or SMS. Also, check Canara Bank website canarabank.com.
