The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released a notification regarding the postponement of exam for CA FInal and Foundation May exam. Paper – 3 of Foundation Examination and Paper 4 & 5 of Final Examination {Old as well as New Scheme} stand postponed and the examination in the said paper(s) are going to be held as per the revised scheduled.
ICAI has not stated any reason for the postponement of the exam. In the notification, it is just stated that due to certain unavoidable circumstances, CA Final and Foundation May 2019 exam has been postponed.
For CA Final Group 1, Paper – 4, Corporate & Allied Laws (Old Scheme), and Group I, Paper – 4 Corporate and Economic Laws (New Scheme) the exam was earlier scheduled to be held on June 02, 2019, however, it has now been rescheduled to June 04, 2019.
CA Final May 2019 exam for Group II, Paper – 5, Advanced Management Accounting (Old Scheme), and for Group II, Paper – 5 Strategic Cost Management & Performance Evaluation (New Scheme), the exam was previously scheduled to be held on 04 June 2019 is now postponed and will now be conducted on June 13, 2019.
Furthermore, for the Foundation Examination, Paper – 3, Business Mathematics, Logical Reasoning, and Statistics, previously notified date was June 09, 2019. However, the reschedule date is June 13, 2019.
Candidates are further clarified that the schedule of examinations in respect of all other papers will be the same. In other words, there will be no change in the schedule of examinations for other papers, as already notified.
Students were already not too excited when ICAI changed the exam schedule once, and now that it has happened again, students may not be too ecstatic.
ICAI issues the admit card for CA May 2019 exam at least 14 days before the test. Candidates can download their admit card for CA Foundation, IPCC and Final exam on the official website, icaiexam.icai.org. The candidates can download their admit card online using Login ID and Password. Submit the login details, and then finally, download and take a print out of the Admit Card.
Remember that ICAI does not send the hard copy of the CA Admit card to the candidates individually by post. On the day of the test, candidates need to carry a print out of the ICAI CA Admit Card. Along with it, carry one stamp size photograph (matching with the photograph affixed on the attested letter).
The Institute also recently released a notification regarding the change in the exam pattern for CA Intermediate and Final exam. The revised exam pattern is applicable for CA IPCC and Final May 2019 onwards. Candidates will get two types questions – MCQ and descriptive.
