Bihar Public Service Commission has recently released the advertisements for the post of Associate Professor, Professor and Head of Department (HOD). As per the official notification, 14 vacancies are out for HOD, 31 vacancies are out for Professor and 15 vacancies for Associate Professor. Applicants interested in the recruitment can download the official notification with Advt No. 32/2020, Advt No. 33/2020 and Advt No. 34/2020 from bpsc.bih.nic.in. Online registrations for all three posts have started from August 28, 2020, onwards. The last date to submit the registration form is September 16, 2020. Applicants can submit the form on or before the last date i.e September 28, 2020.
The post of Associate Professor is announced for Computer Science & Engineering, HOD for Computer Science & Engineering/Technology and Professor for Electrical Engineering department. Candidates who are surprised for these posts revised a monthly salary of Rs. 1,31,400 as starting salary for HOD, Rs. 1,44,200/- for professor and Rs. 1,31,400/- for Associate Professor.
Before applications start with the online registration, go through the eligibility criteria once. To apply for Head of Department post, candidates must have a PhD in Computer Science & Engg./Technology and have passed bachelors and masters degree in Computer Science & Engg.flechnology in the first division. They also must have at least 12 years of the work experience with a minimum of 02 years on the post of Lecturer. Candidates intending to apply for the post Professor must have PhD degree in Electrical Engineering and first-class in master’s and bachelor’s degree. Also, a minimum of l0 years of experience in teaching/research/industry is mandatory to apply for Professor post. Those who have a PhD in Computer Science and engineering can apply for Associate professor post. In addition, they must have a minimum of 06 research Publications in SCI journals/ UGC/AICTE approved journals.
Also, as per the official notification, candidates also have to ensure that they are within the prescribed age limit of the post. Those who are applying for Associate Professor must have their are within the maximum age limit of 30 years. The upper age limit for Professor of 32 years and for HOD is 33 years. Moreover, the age of the candidates is calculated as on August 01, 2020.
Online applications for the said posts can only be submitted online by visiting the online website, bpsc.bih.nic.in. They have to visit the official website and then click on the ‘apply online’ link followed by ‘BPSC online application’ button. Now, they are redirected to another page where they have to click on ‘online application’ link against the post to start the registration and application form submission process. Candidates belonging to the unreserved category have to pay Rs. 100/- and other candidates have to pay Rs. 25/- as the application fee. Moreover, the filled in application form should reach the conducting body before October 05, 2020.
