BPSC is inviting online applications for the post of Principal in Govt. Polytechnic/ Govt. Women Polytechnic Institutes under Science & Technology Dept., Govt. of Bihar. The conducting body has announced a total of 25 vacancies. Aspirants selected under this post receives a monthly salary of Rs. 1,31,400 with grade pay of Rs. 4,500/-. Candidates can register themselves by August 25, 2020, and submit their forms before September 04, 2020.
To apply for Principal post, candidates must have a PhD and Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology related branch with first class. Candidates who have a minimum of 16 years of work experience in Teaching/ Research/ Industry are eligible. However, out of their 16 years experience, 03 years should be post PhD experience and 05 years of experience not below HoD level. Candidates who only possess a Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology related branch can also apply for Principal post. Provided they should have 20 years of work experience in Teaching/ Research/ Industry. Out of these 20 years, they must have practised 05 years not below HoD level.
The application procedure for the BPSC Principal recruitment 2020 is conducted through online procedure. Candidates have to register themselves through bpsc.bih.gov.in and then proceed to fill the application form. While submitting the form, candidates also have to submit the fee online. General category candidates have to pay Rs. 100/-, SC/ ST of Bihar State have to pay Rs. 25/-, Female candidates (both reserved and unreserved) of Bihar State have to pay Rs 25/- and physically handicap candidates also have to pay Rs. 25/- as the application fee. After the submission of the online application form, candidates also have to send a hard copy of the application form to the commission’s address. They can submit their forms before the last date i.e. September 11, 2020 by 05:00 PM.
The selection criteria for the announced posts consists of the academic background of candidates, evaluation of the research performance, research performance, domain knowledge and teaching skills. These two stages are followed by the BPSC interview round. The academic background stage and interview round is allocated with 20 marks each. 60% per cent of the total selection procedure of allotted to the evaluation of the research performance, research performance.
